How To Throw A Jab
We've teamed up with England qualified boxing coach, Michael Gregory to show you how to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. In this film Michael shows you how to throw the perfect jab.
All good boxers should have a good lead hand jab. Start with a good stance and guard with nice balance. You should then push the fist straight out with a wrist rotation, punching with the knuckle. You can also put a small body rotation with this for extra strength and reach.
Make sure that you move by shifting the weight from back foot to front, and then extend the jab to full lock. You should be central and upright. You can also try moving back and then forward, and even double jabs. The jab is a great range finder and tee's up the rear hand.
