How To Tie A Cravat

Learn how to tie a cravat like a true gentleman. Learn how to tie a cravat like a true gentleman.

Step 1: Drape the cravat

Drape the cravat around your neck with one end slightly longer than the other.

Step 2: Cross

Take the longer end and cross it over the shorter end. Keep the cravat quite tight and close to your neck.

Step 3: Push

Push the long end back up behind the knot and pull through.

Step 4: Tuck

Tuck the short end of the cravat into your shirt and then adjust the cravat to make sure the knot remains quite wide. Now tuck the longer end in front of the shorter end.

Step 5: Tidy up

Tidy up the cravat so it looks smart and presentable.

    I saw Higgins in the Show Magnum wearing a cravat. It's better than a tie. I'm going to get a few and wear them instead. Much more stylish. :-D
