How To Tie A Neckerchief

I'm going to be talking you through how to tie a neckerchief. Neckerchiefs are pretty much like a very large handkerchief. Obviously, depending on your neck size will depend on how large you need them to be.

This one here is made of chiffon, this one here, like my pocket square, made of silk. Alternatives are cotton. Anybody who was in the scouts or the cubs will have remembered wearing a neckerchief fastened with a toggle.

I'm going to be showing you how to wear a neckerchief as you would without the use of a toggle and just tied around the neck. Fold the square in half so that you have a triangle, lay it flat, and then roll the neckerchief so that the pointed ends are covered. Then, place the pointed ends behind your neck with two untied ends in front of you.

Cross one under the other, pull fairly tightly and then cross under again to make a loose knot. Kink it to one side if you prefer the French style. And that is how to tie a neckerchief. .
