Hi. I'm Turguy Mustafa. I've been doing garment dyeing for the last 26 years for Prestige Fashion Dyers, and today, I will be giving you some tips about tie dye and garment dyeing.

The first thing you actually do is to decide which pattern you actually require for tie dye. Now, once you've agreed on that, you can actually do a camouflage, a snake effect, a stripe effect, spiral effect, dip dye. So, the best fabric to dye, to tie dye, is a cotton fabric.

But you can actually tie dye silk as well or probably mixtures as well. So, once a customer comes in and we know which design they want, we will actually create that design, and this will actually go into a sample machine. The percentage of the dye will go in depending on the depth of the color and it will be dyed for about 40 minutes at about 80 to 90 degrees.

Then it will be washed out, rinsed, and the garment will be fixed with a chemical so the dye doesn't run out and it will come out spun. The elastic bands will be taken off and it will go into a dryer. The garment will dry and the end result will be the pattern they require. .
