This is a guide to tie dyeing shirts which you can do at home.
Hi, I'm Turguy Mustafa. I do garment dyeing for the last 26 years for Prestige Fashion Dyers and today I will be giving you some tips about tie dye and garment dyeing. So, this is actually how to tie dye or dip dye a shirt.
With this one, I've actually what we call a dip dyeing and to actually achieve this two-tone effect, you need to actually dye your white shirt into the colour that you wanted to and over here, you can see it's a series and if you want to hide the series and dye it into a different colour, you need to watch other films on dyeing techniques. Now, if your shirt is already dyed in a colour and you want the second colour that's quite simple, just hide the part that you want to stay the same colour and just dye the other half, and that again, you can see on our other films about dyeing techniques. Now, to actually achieve the dip dyeing or the tie dyeing, you do the effect that you require, put it in the machine, use the percentage of dye you want it to be, which depth you want it to be, and then you can achieve that colour and the series colour is what we call a reactive dye because they want the dye to be much more brighter and obviously with reactive dye, you can achieve slightly brighter colours than direct dyes. .
