How To Toast Nuts

Charlotte Jarman from Liberation Foods shows you several different techniques to toast nuts. Using, brazil nuts, cashew nuts and peanuts, learn how to get golden, roasted nuts that are sure to liven up any salad or just be savoured as a delectable snack.

Ingredients

  • peanuts
  • cashew nuts
  • brazil nuts

Step 1: Pan-Fry the Brazil Nuts

Add the nuts to a pan on a medium heat. The nuts should toast in a few minutes, keep turning the nuts until they turn a light golden colour. Tip out onto a plate and enjoy.

Step 2: Oven-Cook the Peanuts and Cashew Nuts

Add your nuts to a moderate oven at 180C. Set the timer for 7 minutes, stir and add to the oven for another 7 minutes. Use your delicious toasted nuts in cookies, salads, curries or just enjoy on their own with a little salt.
