co.uk. So, come with me and we're going to show you some tricks.
How to train for a half marathon. A half marathon is very challenging, not the same as a full one, but it is still demanding. The best way to start, you need to have been running/walking for at least two months.
The way to do it is running and walking to recover, running and walking to recover. That's called interval training. To cover a half marathon, you have to be doing at least ten miles a week.
So I'm going to give an example, one week, and week one. You can start walking and run two miles in one day. Run, recovery walking, run, recovery walking for two miles.
So start on day one. Day two. You start with three miles, so run and walk, run and walk for three miles.
Day 2. Day 3, the same, so you start with 4 miles now. So increase gradually, one mile at a time or even less.
If your fitness level is not that high, use half miles each time, but you have to keep increasing. Do that for 8 weeks, start with two miles and you should be at a level to be okay to do a half marathon. 13.
2 miles is not easy. So make sure you have the right gear, the right shoes, and stay hydrated, you have a big rest and one long day training a week. You have to do your best at that training, imagine that it's the day of the race.
One day training, do your best, try to finish. So that way, you have the experience of long distance running. So start easy, 2 miles, 8-week program.
By the week number 8, hopefully you're going to be able to do a half marathon. .
