How To Trim A Beard

Let me just start by clipping the hair away. We're going to go with a number 2 guard at first, just to take the majority of the bulk of the hair away. Obviously, we are going to follow the hair-growth pattern, so we get as tight as possible.

That is why we are working from the neck upwards. Obviously, different people will have slightly different hair-growth patterns, so just try to follow exactly where it's going. So, we are just going to take it down to a 1.

We are making sure that as we are working the sections, we get the skin nice and tight. So, we may have to sometimes blow the cheeks out slightly or move the moustache forward a little bit by puffing it out, and again, with the neckline, just so we get a stronger and tighter effect. Just go back over the moustache again just so we make sure we have everything picked up.

Just using a little bit of clipper-over-comb, we are just going to blend in with the left where it's slightly longer, just over the cheek to take that little corner off, just so it blends a bit better. Just take a little bit of random hairs out of the bottom here, just neaten it up. So, there is your beard trim. .
