How To Trim Sideburns
This video tutorial shows you, guys, how to trim your own sideburns at home to keep your hair looking tidy.
Hello, my name's Andy Heasman from Rush. I'm the international artistic director. Now, it's very important when trimming your own sideburns here to remove the excess hair and get it right out of the way cleanly.
So I'm going to comb tightly away and just get a very small clip and clip that hair away. And I'm just going to tone down very loosely, be very careful not to bring in too much hair into the shape. So combing down, I'm going to put the comb flat into the hair, using the clippers flat on just to remove the excess hair away.
The very important key point is to place the comb in and as you work higher, you need to start moving the comb out very very slowly. This is to ensure that we get a tapered feeling into the haircut. I would actually just put the hair forward now and just remove any small amounts of hair, very gently dusting the hairline, again being careful not to go too high into the shape.
Let us drop the hair over the top. Repeat the same on the other side which is kind of that. Set in what you're bringing into the shape, flat in and remember to taper the tone out very slowly, not to go too high.
I think this is a really really cool thing to learn because I think when anyone's kind of drying the hair when they got longer hair, the sideburns are always the first area that's going to grow out. If you can learn to maintain that area at home, just to keep your haircut a little more durability, being very careful not going into the shape too hard. Well, trim your own sideburns.
Thank you very much. .
