How To Understand Astrology Transits

Now, astrologers use a term called 'transits,' and basically, these are the current movements of the planets, what is happening now, or even in the future. And what we look for is what the transits, in other words the movements of the planets, what aspects, what degrees, and whether they touch your planet's positions at the time of birth. So it's sort of a way of working out when something's going to happen.

Transits are important because they show the way the current planets' movements affect you, and your original birth chart. So the transits for everyone will be different for everyone because, you know, we've got a Jupiter going through one position, might not have any effect on a friend's chart, but it will have an effect on your chart. And for different types of planets and the different types of planets it reacts to by angle, so in other words, the degrees apart that they show on the sort of chart, will give different sorts of influences.

So for instance, moon transits, which occur very regularly, sort of are in the same position every month tends to sort of be a sort of a monthly cycle. But things like Uranus transits, which take a long time to move, when they come into your chart, when they hit your planets, they might make long term effects, seven year changes in your life. Jupiter for instance, might bring in opportunities in work.

Mars can bring in anger and excitement, depending on the planets it's affecting. And Venus of course, being the planet of love, that can bring in sort of heightened senses of emotions. And it's looking at the transits that astrologers are really able to work out where you're going, what changes are likely to come from, and it's a good thing to look at your transits because they'll give you some indication of when's a good time to apply for a job, when's a good time to make that, to go out on a date, or make that move.

So transits are very important in that sense. They are the - where in the natal chart is, for instance your, is your character, your basic personality. The transits over your chart show you your way forward, where you're going, and what's happening to you now. .
