How To Understand Cheating Dreams
Dream analyst Adam Fronteras explains some of the basic aspects of interpreting dreams about cheating in general and about cheating in relationships. Interpretations differ significantly between the self-cheating versus the self being cheated. Fronteras concludes with some remarks on relationships and the importance of distinguishing between cheating related to old or new relationship partners.
If you dream of cheating, particularly if it's you cheating, perhaps you're cheating in an exam, perhaps you're cheating someone else, then it can be a warning for you to sort of look out. But it's actually one of those odd things. Sometimes in dreams, it actually means the opposite.
So if someone is cheating against you in a dream, it's actually a sign of good luck, a positive time, a time that changes can help you. But if you dream of yourself cheating, then that's not so good. It means that you're not declaring your true intention.
Occasionally, we dream of cheating on our partners in a dream. It depends on if it's with someone new or someone old. If it's someone old, then it's probably just a sign of feeling emotionally insecure at the current time and looking back at an old partner and wondering “What if that relationship had worked? What if it had carried on?” If you dream of someone new, then it's probably just a reflection.
Sometimes, we go through these times. But often, it's because we're not quite sure of where our relationship is. Having said that, if we dream of someone cheating on us, a partner cheating on us, for instance, it doesn't mean that at all.
It means that they're really in love with you, confident with you, and it's your own fear that things can't last. But it really is showing a good, positive time. And that's how to understand cheating in dreams. .
