How To Understand Feng Shui Rules

In this VideoJug presentation, learn a bit about the basics of Feng Shui and how general observations of these rules can help you live a more holistic and balanced life.

Hello, my name is Sarah McAllister. I'm the founding director of Feng Shui Agency. I'm delighted to give you some general tips, but please note they are not a substitute for professional Feng Shui consultant's advice.

So, we have a number of Feng Shui rules - um, some of which can be broken, and some of which must be adhered to. And the tricky thing for the beginner is to understand which rules are important. Now, many books, uh, are read by people, and it just leaves them in a state of worry - they don't know which rules to adopt and which to that can be flexible, and I hope this perspective will be helpful for you because Feng Shui is only 30% of your overall luck.

Now, the first thing I'd say is do not try to fix something that doesn't need to be fixed. If you're sleeping well, and you listen to some tips about Feng Shui and sleep, and you find that your bedroom is not as perfectly Feng Shui-ed as you'd rather it be, then don't get worried, because you're sleeping fine, okay? If it isn't broke, don't fix it. In Feng Shui, we need patterns to arise.

We need several different situations to arise before we need to worry about something. So, it's a bit like the expression 'one swallow doesn't make a summer.' If you have one weakness in your Feng Shui, it doesn't mean that disaster will follow you, okay? So don't get too addicted to Feng Shui rules, because it's the job of a consultant to help you navigate all those special situations that are applying to your house.

Feng Shui is a very holistic subject, so you can't just say this rule will apply to this house and that person. Every house and every person's completely different, so read the Feng Shui rules, take them on board, but don't give them too much power, okay? Only use them if you can use them, forget about them if you can't, because there are two other types of luck. There's not just the environmental luck, which is the Feng Shui luck, okay? There is also your heaven luck, which is another 30, 33.

3%, there's the human luck. Now, the heaven luck is something we can't really control; it's like our fate, and life would be a bit boring if we knew absolutely everything that was going to happen. The human luck is another 33.

3% and that is where you can control how you react to situations. You can use your mind positively and with strength, and decide how you're going to react and what you're going to do in life, rather than be a victim of circumstance. So, Feng Shui is only about 30, 33.

3% of the whole equation of your overall luck, so don't get too addicted to Feng Shui rules. .
