Hi. I'm Danny from PC Paramedics, and today I'll be showing you how to remove Norton 360 Anti-virus from your computer. Okay, there's two main ways to get rid of Norton 360 Anti-virus from your computer.
You can either remove it by add and remove programs. Or you can remove a special Norton removal tool from the Norton website. Today, I'm going to be showing you how to remove the program by the Norton removal tool.
The reason for why I'll be using the Norton removal tool is that it is a lot quicker, and it removes every part of Norton much quicker than what it will do using the other remove programs. It's also very reliable. So I'll access the Internet to download this Norton removal tool.
To find the removal tool, I'm going to simply type into Google, Norton removal tool. Okay, the first link takes you to a top Symantec website which is Norton. Okay, once this page has come up, you need to select which version you are trying to remove from your system.
Today I'll be removing Norton 360, version 4. Okay, once read all of the instructions, you can download the Norton removal tool and save it to your Windows desktop. Once saved, it'll give you the option to run the program.
Okay, welcome to the Norton removal tool. This will now remove all traces of Norton 360 Anti-virus from my system. To proceed, you need to click next.
You need to accept the license agreement, and which you should read. Click next once more. Type in the secure code, which in my case is 3-7-6-f-a.
Next. Okay, the program removal will now take several minutes. Once started, it cannot be stopped.
So next at this point is now removing products, and it will tell you along the bottom which product it is removing at the time. This process will take 2 to 3 minutes and remove all traces of Norton from your system. Once finished, it will then ask you if you want to restart your computer.
You need to restart your computer to finish the uninstallation. Once restarted, Norton will now be removed from your computer. That is how you remove Norton 360 from your computer.
