How To Uninstall Programs
In this video, a PC expert shows you how to uninstall a program in Windows XP, in the meantime also explaining how it works on Vista and Windows 7. The uninstalling process is demonstrated in a step by step tutorial, actually uninstalling a particular program in the video.
Hi, I'm Danny from PC Paramedics. And today, I'll be showing you how to remove programs from your computer. To remove computers from your computer, the easiest way is to add and remove programs via the control panel.
If we're into the control panel on Windows XP, you can find ‘add and remove programs' at the top, on alphabetical order. On Windows Vista, 'programs and features'. Once you're into this menu, it will populate a list of all programs that are currently installed on your computer.
Today, I'm going to uninstall a program called Ncleaner. So I'm going to look down my list and find the particular program. Click on it here and then, change and remove on the right hand side.
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, ‘change and remove' will be on the top bar here. Once clicked, change and remove, most programs will ask you if you're sure you want to remove or change the current program. As you can see here, it is asking me if I do want to uninstall, which I will click uninstall.
And that is that, that removed the program. Most programs will ask you to restart your computer in order to finish removing the program from your system. Once done and rebooted your computer, the program will have now gone. .
