How To Upload A Video On YouTube

In this video, I am going to show you how to upload videos onto YouTube. Now, what you need to do is ensure you have a YouTube account. Go to www dot YouTube dot com, sign up and once you have signed up your account, log in.

You will see a link at the top of your screen that says upload. So, click on that. Now, you have got a few different options.

You can select files from your computer. If you have multiple files, you can select those. If you have a web cam installed, you can also record from your web cam.

What YouTube will do is if you have it, it will detect it automatically. So what we are going to do is upload a file from a desktop. So, let's click on select files from your computer and here is a video.

There are a number of different formats that are supported, things like .mov, .mpg, and .

mp4 files. If you are in doubt, go to YouTube's help pages, they will tell you what formats are supported. If the video is not supported, you will get an error message.

So, let's select the file. So, what happens is you now get taken to a new screen and this enables you to put up a little information about the video. You need to put in the title.

You must put in a description and they have several lines there so make sure you use that. The more descriptive you are, the more information given about your video. You should put in tags.

So, what is your video about? What you do is you separate each tag with a comma. Choose a category that your video is going to be in. Make sure you have authorization to use the video and that you are not using it without a license.

Privacy-wise, you can choose either public which means anybody can find it, unlisted which means only someone you send a link to can see it, or private which means only people you give authorization to. As your video is uploading, there will be a toolbar which will show the progress of how the video is loading. You can then save changes.

YouTube now saves that for you. You can then go on. If you have another video you want to upload, you can do that as well.
