From videos, to music, to your favourite photos, VideoJug will show you how to upload media to your beloved MySpace Profile. Let the world learn more about you, and follow this VideoJug guide.
-
Step 1:
-
Login
-
To begin with, go to myspace.com and put in your email address and password. You will then be taken to your myspace profile homepage.
-
Step 2:
-
Videos
-
You can put videos onto your profile:
1. Through Myspace Video- Go to 'edit profile' and click on 'song and video on Profile'. Click on 'find a video in Myspace video'. This takes you to the myspace video section. Either search the video store or browse through the different categories until you find something you want. Click on the 'add to my profile' option to add it to your profile. You can also just search the videos on myspace by clicking 'videos' on the top right of the myspace browser, and add in the same way.
2. By embedding the HTML of a video of your choice. If you want to put a video you have found from another site onto your profile, first of all go to the video on its original site. Most Web 2.0 sites such as Videojug and Youtube have an embed code which you can copy and paste into your profile. This embeds the video player on your profile. So copy the code, open your 'edit profile' section, and paste the embed code in whatever section of your page you would like it to be. Then click 'save all changes' and click 'view my profile' to see the film on your profile. -
3. You can also upload your own videos. On your homepage - go to 'add/change videos' or 'view my videos' and click 'upload'. Fill out the relevant tags and write a description of your video. Choose whether you want the video to be private - for only you and your friends, or public - for anyone on myspace to watch. Agree to the terms, choose the video file from your hardrive, then click upload. The amount of time it takes to upload will depend upon the file size.
-
Step 3:
-
Music
-
You can upload a song onto your myspace profile that will automatically start playing when people visit your page. Go to 'edit profile' then 'Song & Video on Profile'. Then click 'Find a song on myspace' and search for the band or song name you want. When you find the song, click 'add' - and this will put it on your profile. Another method is to go straight to 'music' on the myspace address bar on the top right - search for the tune, then select 'add'.
-
Step 4:
-
Photos
-
On your profile, you can assemble a photo album for other users to see. Simply go to your profile homepage, click on 'upload/change photos', click on 'choose file', find the photo on your hardrive, then click 'upload'. It will show all the photos you have uploaded to your profile so far. You can select as to whether your photos are only viewable to you, or to everybody.
To select a photo as your default photo - ie the one that is at the top of your profile and on your 'friend' thumbnail on other people's pages, click 'set as default' under your chosen picture.
You can add a caption beneath a photo. Click 'add caption' then type in whatever you want to describe the photo.
To make a slideshow, in the upload photo section, click on 'here' under 'add slideshow'. Choose your favourite slideshow from the options and copy the embed code. Then return to your profile, go to 'edit profile' and paste the embed code where you want the slideshow to appear.
