A big part of the novelty of the new 3DS Console is its Eshop function. This lets you download games to the console, both old and new, and also games that use the 3D function. I'm going to be telling you how the 3DS Eshop works.

To access the Eshop, first make sure you put your wireless function switched on your 3DS and go to the home screen. You can click home to get here and then tap the Eshop, right one. This will then log on to the Eshop and display a front page of the games you can buy.

The new items are signified by a new ribbon on the top, unless you proceed along from left to right, you can make your choices. Some games are grouped by the type of game they are. To access those, select grouping, press the A button and it will then load all the games in that group and you work your way across.

To purchase a game, simply tap on it in the store and it will take you to the purchase area. At the top, you can see a User Rating. It is how other players have rated this game.

This game is giving way to 5 stars. Below that is the price and at the bottom is the pegi rating. It tells you how old you need to be to play this game.

Some games also have a video so you can preview them. When you're happy, you'd like to buy this game, you simply tap purchase software. So, in summary, I've told you how to download games and videos by the Eshop.

We made sure that the Wi-Fi was switched on, we went to the home menu, tapped the Eshop panel and then navigated the Eshop to the game we wanted. That's how to download games on the Eshop.
