Learn how to use a hand drill. Watch as you are guided through the basic steps of inserting the drill bit into the drill, measuring and marking where you plan to drill, and proper technique and angle when drilling into a wall.
The hand drill is a common DIY tool. I will show you how to use one now. There are two types of drill chuck.
One take's what we call the STS bit, and one take's the conventional type which is the twist version, push in, which is what everybody's seen, the old way, that way, whereas the STS bit goes in and pushes in, which is secure. STS, conventional drill. Once you've chosen what drill to use, then there's the matter of measuring up, to find out exactly where you're going to drill the spot which will involve a tape measure and a pencil.
Alright, place the drill on the preset marks you've made. Holding the drill straight and level, drill to the depth that you require. Once you've drilled your hole, you're going to have some dust.
So, just brush the dust away onto your dust sheet, and leave things clean and tidy. And that is how to use a hand drill. .
