Today, I am going to teach you how to use a juice machine. These are great for juicing hard and soft fruits, carrots, ginger, apples, that sort of thing, pears- generally root vegetables. This one here is an industrial machine.
You can buy the smaller versions from most high street stores. This is an industrial one here. What you will need to use this machine is obviously this machine, preparation area, chopping board, knife, obviously a vegetable of your choice.
You will also need kitchen rags. Again, it can get quite messy. You'll also need a jug to collect the juice.
For this demonstration, I am going to be making carrot juice. All you need to do is get your carrots or vegetables you are going to use. Give them a wash - vegetable wash or water is fine.
Depending on the size of the carrots and depending on the power of the machine, you may need to chop them into a smaller size. Chop the tops off if you wish. Now, this machine is capable of juicing the whole carrot.
A juice machine is basically a great way of getting your vitamins out of vegetables you would not normally eat. As you do not have to cook them, you are keeping the vitamins in there. Now, what you need to do is put your carrots in the top.
You have your plunger. Most machines come with a plunger. You will turn the machine on and you will press down on the vegetable or fruit of your choice.
You will feel a bit of resistance. Now, this is a centrifugal juicer. What it will do is it spins around inside.
It will grate the fruit or the carrot inside. It will extract the juice from the front. In the back, the bin there, which you have a bag, will collect all of the pits and the fiber.
So, we will turn it on. I have just done a few there. It will take about seven our eight to make a decent size glass.
Obviously, wait until that stops. The juice will still keep coming out so you may wish to put another cup or a jug underneath. I made some earlier before.
I will put that there. There you go! There is your fresh juice there. You can obviously use that for drinking on its own or you can add it to some apple juice or ginger.
Once this is stopped just take it apart, give it a wash, obviously do not submerse the electrical part. Just take off the jug, the bags, and the plunger. Give it a wash. And that is how you use a juice machine! .
