Hi. My name is Ricardo Macedo, and I am here to give some good tips and show you how to do some exercise. We are at my gym in Kensington, London W8.

Hi. How to use the leg press machine? You would find many different machines in the market, many different brands. But they all are based on the same principles, okay.

So, you are going to have a platform like this, put your feet apart, toes not straight but slightly pointing out, slightly different. Make sure your back is nice and comfortable. Really fit into the back of the seat, nice and supported.

Select the weight that you want to work out with. Once you select over here, you press the pin, save the pin chosen to weight. Then you are going to bring the plates in, what that means? You are going to set the machine, like this, okay.

And press, nice, and move 4 seconds to return to weight, forward and four seconds to return to weight. Take a deep breath before and breathe out and press. Good.

So, it doesn't matter how many repetitions you would do, the forever set is 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, according to your program. Nice and easy, no overlap, just come all the way, knees close to your chest and press, 90 degrees. All the way down, knees close to your chest, leg bending 90 degrees and press again.

Press through your heels; press your weight always through your heels. Keep your back really nice and supported to the seat. And when you are finished, return the weight slowly and release the plate.
