How To Use A Lip Pencil

In this video, I'm going to show you how to apply lip pencil or lip liner. It's really important to have a sharp pencil to apply a lip liner. Otherwise, you wouldn't get a precise line.

So, always sharpen your pencils in between application, and this also helps to keep them hygienically sterile. Well, not sterile, but hygienically clean. So, there are two ways that you can apply a lip liner.

You can apply it to line the lips or you can apply it to give a base to the lips which would mean applying it all over the lips. I'm going to show you both methods. I'm going to start with applying the liner around the lips, and then I'm going to fill them in.

Okay. So you just want to just gently follow the natural lip line, and even up any imperfections. For instance, some people's cupid bow is slightly bigger on one side than the other, so you would even them up by drawing on the same shape on both of them.

Always choose a lip pencil that complements the color of the lipstick that's going to go on top. By applying the lip pencil, especially if you're a more mature lady, it will help your lipstick stay on longer and stop feathering of lipstick. And it doesn't have to be too precise, because remember, you're going to put lipstick on top.

Okay, so now I'm going to come in and fill in with color, and this creates a nice base for the lipstick to go on top. And I'm just going to smudge the color with my finger, or you can use a lip liner. And that's how to apply lip liner. .
