A short instructional video on how to strengthen your deltoid muscles using a machine. A great video if you are looking to improve your upper body strength.
1. Move handles to last notch
2. Facing towards the machine, grab inside handles and press out until arms are parallel with body
3. Pinch shoulder blades together and sit up straight

Step 1: Adjust The Seat
Here is the rear delt machine. It is going to be working your upper back and back shoulder area. What you are going to do is put your feet flat on the ground, and adjust the seat so that when you are holding on to the inside handles your arms are parallel to the ground.
Step 2: Arm Positioning
From this position, put your chest against the pad and your back straight, as you're are going to be moving. Keeping your arms slightly bent move them back until you are about parallel with your body. No further back than this.
Step 3: Upper Back Strength
Feel those shoulder blades pinching together. Then slowly go back, but not quite all the way. Out and back. You are exhaling and inhaling. All the while keeping those muscles tight. Abs tight. Good. Really feel it in that upper back area. Breathing. Inhaling. Exhaling. Inhaling. Just one more. Out. In and slowly release it back.
