How To Use A Storm Kettle

A storm kettle can provide you with hot water, and fire, when camping in bad weather conditions. Also known as a Kelly Kettle, this will provide much needed warmth on wet camping trips.
-
Step 1:
-
Fill with water
-
Fill the outer skin of your storm kettle with water
-
Step 2:
-
Fire
-
Light a fire in the kettles hollow centre, and feed it gradually through the top with twigs, or other fuels.
-
Step 3:
-
Pour
-
When the water boils, pour your drink by lifting on the string at the kettles base.
-
Enjoy the warmth of the kettles fire. This is ideal in poor weather conditions, when lighting a fire would otherwise be very difficult.
