The reason to use a tap spanner is to get into real tight awkward places, but you can't normally get with another spanner or a wrench. That's why I'm going to show you how to use a tap spanner now. There are 2 types of a tap spanner.

You've got the original version. You've got the spring loaded version. The original version - you can change the positions like that, put on and off.

It just clips into place. And again, it's for tight spaces where obviously if you've gone up inside something you need a better turn. The newer version is sprung loaded.

So, there's this to have your fingers to guide its notch. It's a lot easier and it's in position as well. So, you can more or less get any angle with it which is ideal for behind basins, behind sinks, or behind toilets when you can't get a normal spanner or wrench.
