How To Use A Viewfinder

Isolate a potential picture from the landscape around you by following VideoJug's guide on using a viewfinder. Artist Maggy Pishneshin shows all you budding artists how to find your subject with a viewfinder for your next watercolour creation.

A viewfinder is used to isolate a potential picture from the landscape.
Using a viewfinder allows you to choose what can be seen. Note what can be seen from each of the corners.
Roughly draw the same proportions as the aperture of the viewfinder. Divide the space into quarters to break down the image that is going to drawn.
Start from the bottom right, as a mapping observation of the painting. This will give an overall composition.
