We're going to talk about how to make coffee using an aeropress. You need to take a filter paper, and this just locks nice and simply into the bottom of your main inner tube. Now, the whole process of pouring the water in, and we're going to give the coffee a stir now as well, should take about ten seconds.

So once we've put that in there, you just take the stirring mechanism and give it a good little stir. Make sure all the coffee is nicely mixed in. You don't want any lumps at the bottom; you don't want anything that's not mixed in because this is all about gaining your flavours for the coffee.

So once we've reached about the ten second mark for that, we're going to take the plunger which is the final element of the aeropress, and we put this into the top and it creates a seal. This rubber element around the top creates a little seal, and we're now going to extract under pressure, gently for about fifteen to twenty seconds, we're going to push down. It would take a little bit of effort but not too much.

You'll see that immediately as we start pushing, the coffee is extracting into the bottom of the glass and you keep doing this. You just take this away. We're then left at the bottom with essentially a double espresso.

We can now do what we like with this particular drink. For us, we're just going to take a little bit of our water that was left over and we're going to top it up and turn it into an Americano style drink. Nice and simply, we can either add a little bit of sugar or a little bit of milk if we wanted to.

And enjoy it. And that's how to use an aeropress.
