How To Use Android Market
Looking for a great game, movie or app for your Android smart phone? In this step by step guide Rachael Downie, tech expert, shows you how to navigate Android Market and how to download content.
Method
Tap the 'Play Store' on your Android phone. Tap on the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner, type the name of the app you are looking for in the search bar and click the magnifying glass icon.
A list of apps will appear on your screen, scroll through them and select the one you want to download and a description of the app will appear on the screen. To download the app tap the 'Download ' button, then tap 'Accept'.
If you would like to browse through all the different apps, go to the Google Play home screen and click on 'Apps'. You will be able to browse through Staff Choices, Editors Choices and Games. You can browse through more app categories by swiping right to left. These categories are: Top Paid, Top Free, Top Grossing, Top New Paid, Top New Free, Trending and Features.
To view different books go to Google Play home screen and tap on 'Books'. Swipe from right to left to view the different book categories, which are: Top Selling, New Arrivals In Fiction, New Arrivals In Non-fiction, Free and Featured.
To see all the movie categories, return to the Google Play homepage and tap on 'Movies', then swipe from right to left. You can also search by categories such as Drama, Horror or Family.
To view all the game categories, tap on Games on the Google Play homepage, then swipe from right to left. The categories are: Top Paid, Top Free, Top Grossing, Top New Paid, Top New Free and Featured. You can also search by genres such as Casual, Racing or Sports.
