Now, firstly, what you do is take a section from the center. Then, take about a 2 inch or 3 inch section. Clip-in extensions are great for a lot of things, you know, you can have extra length to your hair, you can have highlights, you can have body if your hair is quite fine and you want to add a little more body, you can actually use it for that.

I'm just going to show you the technique of how to put in clip extensions into your hair. So, starting with your first section, normally, clip-in hair would come in different sizes, so you would measure which size would be better for each section. As you work up through to the top of the head, you need a wider clip extension.

Now, sometimes your hair is really silky so it's difficult for the clips to stay in. So, what you can do is just back comb the underneath, the roots, just a little bit, and that will help your hair extensions stay in. Starting in the middle, just clip it on and that's your first section.

And once again, working up through the head, take another section about an inch wide. Once again, measure the head and then back comb the roots. Extensions are really good for all sorts of hair, especially with fine hair where you need a little bit more body and clip extensions make it look like you've got more hair.

You can also use them if you wanted a few different colors in your hair. Highlights in your hair can add different colors and also, I think most people, when they use clip-ins, it's to add extra length to their hair. And that's how you clip in hair extensions.
