How To Use Curling Irons

I am going to show you how to use curling irons. As you can see, on my model here that we have gone through and used curling irons all the way through the hair, I've just left this last section here to show you how to use them. I will just spin you all the way around, if you can just stop there, okay.

This last section, every section I've taken has been exactly the same size as this one here, so you're now left with a large section, a large section about 4 to 5 inches long. Now, what you want to do is slip that into half, so you're not taking too much hair into the curling iron. It's about a centimeter and a half deep and now, comb the hair all the way through.

So, you haven't got any knots or any tangles in that hair at all, so comb it all the way through. Little bit of hair spray, just a very light mist, gently covering and then comb the hair spray through the ends. This will evenly distribute the product all the way through, you want to keep doing that until it doesn't feel like there is anything in the hair.

This is going to protect the hair from the heat of the curling iron and also get rid of any little fly away hairs. So after you've combed your hair through and you've combed the hairspray through, keeping the tension in your hand. Just taking the iron all the way to the end there, tucking that last section in but making sure it's all in there and then keeping it quite tight, keeping the tension tight.

And with your finger, just put that in between the scalp and the iron and just before it hits, that's where you want to be leaving the iron because there is going to be very, very hot irons and you don't want to be burning the scalp. So, you hold 5 to 10 seconds depending on how hot your curling irons that you are using are and then release like so and then let go. And that is how to use curling irons. .
