How To Use Fabric Spray Paint
This short video demonstrates how to spray paint on fabrics like a t-shirt so easily.
My name's Alison Beck and I'd like to show you a few of the techniques of fabric painting. I'd like to demonstrate to you spray painting using Marabu textile design paint on a t-shirt and also using stencils. It's best to actually put some freezer paper underneath your t-shirt so that this spray paint doesn't go from one side to the other.
So, I'm going to use stencil, a dragon stencil. I'm just going to put my skin tapes to keep it in place and also around the edges so that I don't spray an area that I don't want to be sprayed. So, I'm actually going to do the red first.
Another technique that you can use is to actually spray around objects so we'll show you how to do that also. So, I'm just going to spray around these hearts and then take them off. We'll tear the stencil up and show you what that looks like.
So, I'm taking off the stencil now and we've got a nice shape of the dragon and these spray paints are available from silkcraft dot co dot uk. They're around 5 pounds a can, they dry really quickly and they could go through the washing machine in 40-degree cycle. And that's how you do a t-shirt. .
