Fishing pliers to me seem like a little bit of a luxury. Well, once you use them and you have them on you, once you've been fishing, you realize how useful they are and it becomes a pretty essential part of your kit. This is a very nice pair of pliers.

They're seven and a half inch, they've got cutters, they've got very strong teeth at the end. Good for grip so when you need to unhook a fish, you can actually get a hold of the metal of the hook, and you've got a good strong grip to twist hooks out. Twisting a hook out of a fish is a way to go wrong instead of just pulling.

If you can get one hook out by twisting, it seems to release from the fish's mouth easier. The other features that I like about these pliers are they have cutters. I use that, to be honest, more than the plier itself.

Great for cutting wire, useful part of the kit that I can't be without right now. Another great addition to this pair of pliers is the sheath it comes in. A lot of guys would leave this behind but I like to wear this because if I'm in a river or if I'm in my boat and I quickly need the pliers to unhook a fish or pass to a friend, then I can do that, and if I drop them, they're just going to hang from my belt and I'm not going to lose them because let's face it, you've just got a nice pair of expensive pliers and you don't want to lose them at the bottom of a lake or the bottom of the sea.

That attaches to the plier itself, and the plier and sheath are good for your kit. .
