Laurence Sessou reveals the benefits and the hidden positive effects of a massage with lavender oil on our body and on our nervous system.

My name is Laurence Sessou, Massage Therapist working at Waterloo Body Station in London and we're going to be talking about lavender, properties of lavender and the different ways to use lavender.
OK, so we can use the lavender by vaporization so you could use an oil burner, have a bit of water on it, put a few drops of lavender and then just stick a candle into it and your house will be smelling divine. You can use it in the evening.

Lavender is very good to open your nervous system, it's got sedative effect and it's very calming and grounding. So we can also use lavender as inhaler so we can have some hot water into a bowl, put a few drops of lavender oil; in this bowl we could put about 5 till 10 I guess. And if you're having a cold or if you've had like a just infection you can have a towel over your head and gently inhale.

So lavender is quite popular essential oil with aroma therapy because of its multi functions and multi properties, very good for relaxation. So we'll going to put some lavender oil into a base oil and so you'll have to make a beautiful massage with some lavender.
And this is how we use lavender with a base massage oil into a massage. .
