How To Use Mystery Gift

I'm going to tell you how to use the mystery gift option. Now the mystery gift option is actually quite useful as it enables you to get event, items and pokemon that are made available from Nintendo. Ok so the mystery gift option is actually available on the main menu.

Instead of continuing, head down until you find mystery gift. This can actually be found in several different places, depending on which version of the game you're playing. Select that option and you'll get into a new menu.

Now this is the same for all games, regardless of which one you're playing. you'll have "receive the gift", "check card album" or it might be "wonder card" and of then course "info", which will just explain about this option completely. If there's an event going on then just press "receive gift.

" Now don't worry about anything that comes up here, it just says about opening channel. Now, if you're in a store and they're giving away a pokemon you'll want "get via wireless." However, if one is coming over the internet via wifi then you'll want "get via nintendo wfc.

" This'll connect up to the internet. Either way the next screen you will find will be searching for a location point and once it finds an event it will then download it onto your cart. "Get via infrared" or "get via friend" on earlier versions, is not used in any way.

In order to download items they come via a "wonder card" system. Now in order to check your wonder cards, go to "check card album." In here you'll have a list of all the wonder cards you've actually downloaded and when you downloaded them.

Now in black and White you can hold up to twelve wonder cards at any one time. In earlier games you could only hold up to four. In order to download any more you'll need to delete them.

Select them and then you can select "trash." This will get rid of it forever. Once you receive a wonder card, select "out of this game" and "into the main game" where you'll find a delivery person in the pokemart ready to pick up your item or pokemon.

So in summary, the mystery gift option is actually quite useful for getting event pokemon and items. Just remember to clear out your old wonder cards every so often, otherwise you'll be unable to get more events downloaded onto your cart. And don't worry, if you haven't picked up the item you can't delete the wonder card until you have.
