How To Use Quick Grip Clamps

Okay, today we are going to show you how to use Quick-Grip Clamps. Generally, you buy them in pairs. They come in different sizes.

For today's demonstration purposes, we are going to use this size of Quick-Grip Clamp. The beauty of them all is that they are quick to grip. That's what they been designed for.

What we have here, is we have like a trigger mechanism. As you pull the trigger, the clamp closes inside. Okay, now to release this Quick-Grip Clamp, okay, I place my fingers over the other trigger.

Pull it towards us, as you can see, extends the clamp once again. Okay. Another one is exactly the same, works exactly the same way.

It's just a very fast effective way of clamping two things together. There are various ones in the market that one can buy. This is another one.

This is not so good quality but still effective. Again, the trigger, just pull it towards us. It's clamping and if you need to release, you push down on this trigger like so and pull back, okay.

Okay, now I'm going to show you how to clamp this piece of wood to this bench. Okay, this Quick-Grip Clamp here, we're going to pull the release trigger like so which opens the clamp. The one I'll do is I'm going to place the clamp over the piece of wood and underneath the workbench like so.

And then, I'm going to press or to be safe, grip the trigger. Grip the trigger, like so. As you can see, that bit of wood is not going anywhere.

Now, rules to release the clamp, again two fingers pull the release trigger which is that one there and the clamp releases. Okay, so I'll show you that again. So, in order to clamp this piece of wood to the workbench, place the clamp over the piece of wood.

Grip the trigger like so, now take the other clamp, then set it to the correct position by using there, putting the release trigger to set things off and over the piece of wood, workbench again put, the trigger like so. And as you can see, that piece of wood is not going anywhere at all. Okay, now to release, pull this trigger, one clamp off, the other clamp.

So, the beauty of these clamps is they are fast and quick to use. They are not expensive and I'd say a definite must for any D.I.
