How To Use Rollers
How to use rollers to curl hair and get perfect curls. Richard Ashforth is the International Creative Director from top hairdressing company, Saco. His work has regularly featured in top magazines such as Vogue, American Vogue, and I.D. He tells us how to use rollers in this helpful video.
Step 1: Divide the hair into 3 panels
Divide sections cleanly and tie up to separate into three panels using a tail comb
Step 2: Select rollers
Select rollers according to the size of curls desired. The smaller the roller the tighter the curl. Set with hairspray.
Step 3: Divide sections to insert rollers
Allow the hair to bend around the rollers turning them in the direction you would like the curls to go.
Step 4: Apply hairspray
Apply hair-spray to finish and hold hair on rollers
Step 5: Use dryer attachment to apply heat
Use hair-dryer or dryer-with attachment to apply heat to the hair with the rollers inserted.
Step 6: Allow hair to cool
Allow the hair to cool and set before removing the rollers
Step 7: Remove rollers
As you remove each roller brush the hair through to work it into the shape of the hair
