How To Use Tanning Beds

Step 1: Find Your Level

Decide how tan you want to be - pictures can help you envision your new look - and then check out the handy chart on tanning bed to figure out how much time you should spend in the light. When in doubt, spend less time in the bed rather than more. It's always better to go back for more than to burn.

Step 2: Naked Or Nearly Naked

You can wear anything you want in a tanning bed, but most people wear underwear, a bathing suit, or nothing at all. Remember, naked tanners don't get tan lines!

Step 3: Get In Bed

When you're ready, set the controls. hit start, and get in bed. But wait! Before the you pull down the cover, MAKE SURE to put on the FDA approved safety goggles provided by the tanning salon. These goggles protect your eyes from damaging UV rays. If your salon doesn't give you goggles, run, don't walk, out of there, or you could damage your eyes permanently. Once your goggles are on, you can pull down the bed cover and relax.

Step 4: Fake-N-Bake

That's it! You're set! You're tanning! Now you just lie there until the bed turns itself off, and you're done! If you feel uncomfortable or your tanning bed does not turn itself off properly, remember, you can just raise the cover and step out.
