How To Use Toggle Clamps

Toggle clamps are useful for temporary jugs where you've got to move things around quite a lot. This one, I'm using on a router table. The way they work is with three pieces of movement that stay still.

They get to a certain point where it's in place and then, you push further and they just can't come up because to do so, we'd have to force this around the corner. You can adjust them for how far up and down they push and for how and they get quite hard to push and it locks. This is now completely firmly stuck.

This one here is the same here. It's got two pads on the end of it and again, you can adjust it in and out and up and down. This one, I use when I want flush with the router table.

Hold the pieces in place against a piece of sand paper. The wood is now temporarily firmly stuck. And then, they come out quite easily afterwards.
