Hello. I'm John, from AutoValet UK, the UK's leading car valet company. Today we're going to give you some tips on how to maintain your vehicle and keep it in pristine condition.

Alright, today we're going to show you how to wash a vehicle. First, we'll start off rinsing all excess dirt that may be stuck to the vehicle. Ensure that you lift the windscreen wiper up to release any dirt they may have been caught below or under the wiper blade.

With washing a car you should always start at the top, working your way down. The top of the car is always cleaner than the bottom as the bottom will pick up a little traffic film and dirt from the floor. The last thing you want to be doing is taking the dirt from the bottom and transferring it to the top.

Always ensure that the top part of the vehicle is cleaned first, and working your way down slowly to the bottom part and areas. If the car's in very very dirty condition, it may be advisable to wash the top part of the car first before you wash the bottom part of the car so you don't contaminate your wash mitt or sponge. Once you're happy that all the dirt has been released and cleaned from the vehicle, use your jet wash to rinse off any excess soap.

Once you've finished rinsing, make sure your blade is clean and wipe off any excess water from the vehicle. Always try to use straight motion lines, either going down or up the vehicle. Please ensure at this time that your vehicle is thoroughly clean and there is no dirt left on the vehicle as a blade could scratch it if there is dirt left on the vehicle.

Once you're happy that all the excess water has been removed from the blade, we recommend using a white fibre cloth to dry off the drips and any excess water that may be left. If you're doing the interior part of the vehicle as well, you may want to open the door shuts and the boot shuts and wipe any excess water that may be sitting inside these shuts as well. And this is how you'd wash a car. .
