A very comprehensive video detailing the tools and processes required to wash a window in a professional manner (an applicator, a squeegee and a scrub) and illustrating the entire cleaning process.
Today, I'm going to talk to you about window cleaning and the ways and processes that we carry this out. Plus, I would like to explain the tools that are needed for this job. We have a bucket, preferably always clean.
In the bucket, we put warm water about half way up to the top. The tool that we need to carry out this job is an applicator. This should always be kept clean; we use this to apply the water to the glass surface.
Then, we have the squeegee. This is a metal squeegee bar with a blade and this is used to take off the excess water from the glass. Then we have a clean cloth which is always normally a scrub, and this is used to take off, wipe the surfaces after the window cleaning is finished.
The washing up liquid that could be used is any washing up liquid. And this is the soap and this is used to put into the water. The process starts with you taking the applicator from the bucket, draining off any excess water so it's not too wet, and then applying it to the glass area making it as soapy as possible, moving it up and down and from side to side and covering mainly about half of the glass area.
Place the applicator back into the bucket and then get the squeegee and start from the bottom and just work your way up to the top taking off all of the excess soapy water from the glass surface. This is done to reach the area you covered with the applicator. Start the process again and do the bottom area of the glass.
Up again and across, covering all areas and removing all dirty marks with the soapy water. Place the applicator back in the bucket and then get the squeegee and repeating the process, taking off all of the excess soapy water. When you finally reach the bottom and all the soap is off the water, you then get your clean cloth scrub and just wipe all the edges until all the soap is removed and all the excess water from the sill or the paddle of the door and then wipe along the bottom until it's clean.
And then the final bit is just to clean the floor with the cloth, so there's no wet surface or any danger to public health or safety. The job is now complete and that is the process of cleaning windows. .
