How To Water A Lawn
The VideoJug film will show you the perfect ways to water a lawn so you can keep your own lawn looking beautiful and healthy!
Hi, I'm Mike and this Dan, and we're from a lawn company. We have a wealth of experience of looking after lawns, big and small. We are going to show you some handy tips on how to care for your lawn.
I am going to show you how to water a lawn. The reason why we water a lawn is because, simply, it hasn't rained, and the grass growers are starting to stress out. What'll happen is you'll notice the grass buds will go like a deep bluey-green color and the leaves will collapse.
There are various applicators for watering a lawn; the good old hose hand connector. This is the ideal patent for watering a lawn. You don't really want to be doing that because that is going to just make a right mess.
So, give a nice even spray. Follow your mowing lines. If you've only got a small lawn, it won't take too long.
For a lawn that's a little big bigger, you can use a rotating sprinkler. This will generally rotate over the surface of the lawn. Now the problem with these, unlike the handheld one, is that you can leave them on the lawn for a little bit too long.
So this is where it is important to place a shallow saucer in the area that the water will get to. That will slowly fill up. Roughly, it'll take about ten minutes on a normal garden pressure to fill up that saucer.
When it's full, simply move to the next position. For a larger area of lawn, you can use an oscillating sprinkler. This will cover quite a large area in quite a short period of time.
Once again, it's important to keep your eye on the kitchen timer that you've set for ten minutes, or the saucer that you've layed into the patent of the sprinkler. And that's how you water a lawn. .
