Hello, guys. My name is Rob. I've been waterskiing for roughly fourteen years and currently, I'm number 4 in the world, so I'm going to introduce you to how to waterski.

Alright guys, so how to waterski? You will need few things, for example, skis, you will need on a boat, a cable, water ski rope and most importantly, a life jacket, okay. There are a few different types of skis you can get. We have two skis, you can have one ski, it depends on how good you are or how good you're going to get.

So first of all, you need to put your skis on. Here, so open the bindings up, put your feet in the bindings, set it for your size here and you are going to get in the water just off the boat. In the water, you grab the rope, sit with the skis, lie on your back, skis are up out of the water, your rope is right in the middle, knees together, your arms are on your knees.

Okay, this is the position you want to be in, on the start. As the boat pulls up, when the driver hits it, you push your knees onto your chest and roll over your skis still holding on to the handle until your feet are right underneath your bum. At that point, keep the balance, keep your arms straight and start pushing to your legs to stand up slowly, okay.

You end up in a position, arms straight, knees bent, very important, okay. So, you don't lean back, don't lean forward standing on the skis, just holding on to the rope. There you go.

So, once you're up, you go straight, get some confidence and then you can start turning. Do little turns first. Try to pull the handle to your inside hip, turn the skis, apply pressure on the inside leg, push your inside knee down and apply pressure on that ski.

That will take you to one side or the other side, okay. So, as you start turning, you are reasoning to cross the wake. As you cross in the wake, you don't want to be leaning back too much or forward again.

You need to stay balanced, quite relaxed, don't be tensed on the water, just push through your inside ski, you'll cross the wake, go outside the wake, turn back in and do the same. You've hit on the wave and you have your knees really soft, nice and easy across the wake, you are back behind the boat and stay there as the boat is turning. Always wear life vest for buoyancy aid.

Okay, guys, this is coastguard-approved buoyancy aid, 4 buckles, fine buoyancy, okay. This is just an impact vest which is going to hold you up on the water, it's going to help you but it's not going to save anyone unconscious, so if you knock yourself out, okay. This is preferred by pro skiers because it's lighter, slimmer and not in the way so much, and it's probably prettier too.

This is just advice on how to waterski. .
