How To Wear A Blazer

Hi, my name's Alexia and I'm a fashion stylist. I'm here in the heart of East London at the Pattern Market. This area is one of Britain's trendiest areas, there are a lot of fashion designers and people who are heavily industry related.

So let's go inside and I'll show you some things on how to dress. Blazers are an item of our wardrobe that most of us have been used to wearing when growing up. At school, often it's a part of our uniform.

I'm wearing an old school blazer but I just wear them with my jeans and a pair of boots and it takes the look from being school collegiate into being a little bit more grown up and smart. Blazers are great because they have usually very conservative kind of fabric with a contrasting colored piping around the outside to outline the blazer. Another example of blazers is another one like this.

This is Christian Dior which is a bit more feminine in the cut but it still has the conservative color of fabric with the contrasting color of piping around the outside. These particular jackets look great especially ones like these with the cut-away if there's gushed up at the sleeves to reveal a bit of a sleeve. So, one doesn't always necessarily need to have a straight jacket/blazer, you can have you know, the reference of the blazer with two tones, etc.

and the more military styled buttons, and it still gives an air of civility and order. But in this particular one which is a Ralph Lauren blazer-style cardigan, it gives the appropriate effect of neatness and order, but makes it slightly more casual. And that's just a few ways how you can wear your blazer. .
