How To Wear A Tie

Ties are something that makes men have in their wardrobe but they tend to just stick with one or two and they never really change them up. If you have to wear suits to work the whole week, then ties are a really great way to add a bit of your personality into your look. So, you don't always have to go for something plain or boring or just go for the usual standards blue and pink.

Perhaps go for something with a little bit of pattern in and help reflect a little bit of your personality and project a look that is different to your boring black suit. If you're wearing a white shirt and you want to look a little bit funkier, then something like this blue stripe tie is great. It contrasts really well with the white but it's not too brash and not too in-your-face because they're not really bold bright colours.

Something like this works really well with some pinstripes because the stripes are going in opposite direction so it just really contrasts it and picks out the stripe theme without adding to it and making it look over the top. If you're wearing a texture like this, what you don't want to do is put on something really busy over the top. So, a tie like this would be too contrasty unless of course, you're trying to make a really big statement.

So, something like this, it's far better just to get a tie in a tonal colour. I'd recommend just getting a plain wine tie to go with this or a burgundy or even a very deep purple, something that picks out the colour in the check. If you don't want to go for something so plain, you can always go for a knitted tie in a tonal colour because then, you got a little bit of texture but you still got the solid colour.

So, it would work really well together. You can team the two with a nice cardigan and it would just create a really lovely stylish outfit and injects a little bit more of your personality into your outfit. If you want to wear something a little bit more tonal with your white shirt, then a great tie like this works really well and it's a really nice occasion tie that would just stop the outfit looking a little bit boring or a white shirt looking a little bit bland.

So, something like this when teamed with some gray or some charcoal coloured trousers will work really well for a wedding or for a nice social occasion. This green colour is a really big trend this season and something like this where you've got the little understated pattern is a really good way to wear a pattern on your tie without being too brash or too in-your-face. Again, when teamed with white shirt or even teamed with a black shirt, this could look really great and really fashionable and it's not going to be a standout too much or pour too much attention to you but you still got a little bit of pattern going on.

When wearing ties, just try to make sure that it fits tonally with your outfit and it doesn't stand out too much. If you're not sure what to do, pick out one of the other colours you're wearing and try and team it with that. And that's how you wear ties. .
