Hi. Today I'm going to talk to you about boots. They're such a key part of any woman's autumn winter wardrobe.
In fact, I think I have about 20. So, what you want to do is think about what sort of clothes you have in your wardrobe, and what boots are going to work best for them. This season, there's such an array of boots.
The really, really key look, again this season, coming back from last season is just the little ankle boot. Now these are really, really petite, and they're almost like a shoe boot, so they really only come just past the ankle. Now when you're wearing these, you need to kind of keep in mind what you're wearing on the top.
I think these work really well with little dresses and skirts, but they also work well with a nice jeans sitting over the top. Only thing I would probably avoid wearing with these would be skinny jeans because I think it wouldn't show as much of your, it wouldn't show off your legs as well, but it also wouldn't show off the boots to their best. So I would go with tights or socks, and go for something really daring.
If you can, wear something short on top that really shows off your long legs and your boots. They're really classic. Really worth investing in and there's lots on the high street at the moment.
Then you would go up a little bit higher. Now these are typical ankle boots. These are fantastic ones.
They've got a zip side as well, so you don't have to spend all your time zipping them and lacing them up. Now these are slightly higher, so if you're slightly concerned about your ankle, then I would go for these ones because they cover more of your ankle and they're much more flattering on the leg. These one's work really well with skinny jeans tucked in or even with the jeans sitting over the top because they're very, very versatile.
If you've got fab legs, wear them with tights as well. But if you're slightly bigger on the calf or the leg, I'd avoid wearing them with skirts and just stick to wearing them with skinny jeans or just a normal jean because they're much more flattering that way. Go for exciting colors as well.
Don't just go for your black. Go for grays, browns. And this season there are lot's of shearing, which is the sheep skin inside which will look really fantastic for this autumn winter.
Then we have the classic knee-high boot. What girl doesn't have a pair. I've chosen a chunky pair to show you this season because I think it works really well with the tweeds and the chunky knits that are around.
And when you're picking a boot, make sure that if you've got a slightly bigger calf, you go for something that's got a bit of a stretch at the top because you'll find that the fit isn't as good if it's a zip side. So, these ones are really great. They're slightly more spacious and their slouchy so they do cover up a slightly bigger calf.
If, however, you're very lucky and you've got fantastic legs, go for a zip knee-high boot and go for something that's really skin-tight to show off how great your legs really are. Celebrities are wearing them all the time with their skinny jeans tucked in, or you can glam-up your evening with some real killer heels. Those like stiletto heels are definitely back this season, so invest in those.
So what you really need to remember is it's all about flattering your legs. If your calves are bigger, I would go for something that's a slightly looser fit. Go for a knee-high boot or go for that small very shoe boot because it's going to be more flattering for your calf.
If you go into the calf with these, they have a tendency to make your calves look bigger. If you've got great legs, you can wear any of them, so you're very, very lucky. But make sure when you're wearing them ladies, that yo
