How To Wear Brown Eye Liner

Hi, I'm Faye from simplyfaye dot co dot uk. I've been a makeup artist for 20 years and I'm going to give you some tips on how to apply makeup. In this video, I'm going to show you how to wear brown eyeliner.

Brown is a pretty neutral colour so it goes with most eye colours, well, I would say all eye colours and all eye shapes. You can get different tones of brown. You can go from light browns to chocolate browns.

Chocolate browns are best used on when you're doing a smoky eye look or you could just wear it on its own without eye shadow. You could use a lovely sort of terracotta-ry brown on someone with dark sort of Mediterranean skin and a very very light brown on someone that's sort of blonde with very fair skin. I'm now going to show you how to apply brown eyeliner on my model here.

My model has got very sort for hazel brown eyes and chocolate brown would really complement here eye colour perfectly. So, I'm going to load up my slant brush with some gel eyeliner. I always prefer gel eyeliner because it's waterproof and I find applying it with a brush is much easier than with a pencil.

I'm just going to wipe the excess of on the back of my hand and I'm just going to come on to the eye and I'm just going to draw a few different strokes across the eyelid with my slanted brush and don't feel that you have to do it one big stroke. It's far better to do lots of little sort of presses than trying to get one fluid line because you'll always make a mistake doing it that way. And again, don't go right into the corner of the eye because this can close up the eyes.

You want to leave a 5-millimetre gap and take the eyeliner right to the out corner of the eye. Just open your eye, and close, and open the eye. And that's how to wear brown eyeliner. .
