How To Wear Capris

Hi, I'm Carla Leenders and I'm a stylist at the Glass Slipper. Today, I'm going to show you how to style your wardrobe. I'm going to show you how to wear Capri pants.

Capri pants can be quite problematic if you've got heavier legs. They work really well on petite figures and they work really well on people who have got slimmer legs. If you've got heavier calves, they can be a little bit troublesome so make sure you go for a length that doesn't cut you off mid-calf.

Go for something a bit longer, if anything, go for trousers called 7/8s that will crop just above your ankle. Don't go for anything that comes up on the knee because that can make your thighs heavier. Also when looking for Capri pants, go for something even if you got bigger legs that's got a slimmer line to it.

Don't go for anything that's too wide at the bottom because again, this can make your legs look bigger even if you've got very slim legs. You want to go for something that tapers in slightly but not something that fits very close to the leg like a legging or clam digger. Denim Capri pants are great casual items to wear especially in the summer.

I think they look really great when they're dressed up in a nautical style and it's a really nice casual look that can still look smart. Team them with a really nice stripy t-shirt for that nautical look. Then add a casual blazer over the top.

This look has a sort of spring time look about it and it just looks really fresh but still looks nice and smart. Once you've got those together, pop on your denim Capri and then finish it off with something like these sorts of sparkly pumps. Again, that's just going to help to lift your outfit and pull it all together nicely with the right accessories.

If you want to make your Capri pants look a little bit smarter, you can do this Lennon pair, they're very tailored. Again, they got that straight leg and they're not too wide at the bottom. They got a proper waste band and these nice flat pockets, they look really smart to start with.

Put on something simple like a white vest and then get something nice and statement-y like this cardigan. Pop your white vest underneath, thread a nice tan belt through the waist of your trousers. Put them all on together with a pair of nice tan or gold pumps.
