Hi, I'm Carla Leenders and I'm a stylist at the Glass Slipper. Today, I'm going to show you how to style your wardrobe. I'm going to show you how to wear cargo trousers.
Skinny cargos are a really big trend this season, and every single store has a version that will flatter every figure. They're very easy to wear but you have to be careful not to stray into teenage territory. So, if you're a little bit older, you can still wear combats or cargos, but you just need to find the right shape for you.
A good pair, are some ones like these, which have got a lot of stretch in them. Don't go for anything overly baggy as this can add bulk to hips and thighs. Go for something a bit slimmer, with a lot of lycra or elastane in them, because they are going to really help to pull your figure in and to slim line you.
Wear something like these with a fitted blazer. You can go for something a bit smarter or you can wear something quite casual, like this is made out of t-shirt material. Keep it simple by teaming it with a long-sleeved t-shirt and some cool accessories like a scarf that fits totally with the color.
In the daytime, you can put it on with your Converse shoes as that will help to keep it casual. But for evening, you can really dress these up. Instead of wearing them with your fitted blazer, put them on with something like a really nice sparkly jacket, and then keep it really simple by putting a black vest underneath.
For evening, you should put them on with a pair of heels, something like this season's Middy or Kitten heels are a really great way to style them up, or you can put them on with a pair of Sky Highways if you want them to look really glam. Another great trend this season is the silk blouse and that works perfectly with a pair of skinny cargos. Your blouse should be a little bit oversized, a bit like a boyfriend shirt, and pick a color that works totally with your cargos.
So, this caramel color goes really well with olives. Make sure you wear it tucked in, and then team it with a really great pair of daytime heels. That's a really smart way to be able to wear your cargos and just stop from looking, say, casual, but doesn't overdress them.
And that's how you wear cargo trousers. .
