How To Wear Fashion Jackets

One of the biggest trends this year has been the waterfall neckline. So, that's where a jacket falls open like this and just hangs and drapes nicely. It's really really flattering and it works on any body shape so it's a really good style to go for.

When you're looking for a waterfall jacket, try and look for something that has a bit of a fitted waist in it because what you want it to do is look waterfall and slouchy at the front but at the back, it still needs to look quite nice and tailored. Because the waterfall jacket falls into a drape at the front, it draws the eye down the body to the point here and elongates the figure. Also, it just leaves a narrow column in the middle which makes the torso look slimmer and look longer.

For summer, I'd look for one in a really nice lightweight fabric so that it can drape and you can wear it nicely with linen trousers but something a bit lighter like a nice jacket or a dress. When it gets to be autumn, you can move on to the same sort of style but go for something a little bit heavier. A suede jacket like this which still maintains that waterfall neckline but it's not left open.

You've got the zipper here which pulls the waist in and these nice knitted jersey panels which will help to define your waist but also help if you're going to wear it with anything like layers, it will expand a little bit or contract a little bit depending on what you're wearing. It's got some nice details and it's got that nice open neckline again. This sort of style's perfect for anybody who's got a bigger bust.

Because it stays open there, you're not closing yourself off or making yourself look square or blocked at the top. So, the waterfall neckline can still work really well in autumn especially if you get it in a nice warm suede. When winter comes around, you don't have to sacrifice warmth for looking fashionable and vice versa.

You can still look really fashionable but stay really warm. Something like this fitted quilted jacket works really well on any body shape. Again, because it's got nice built-in waist to it, so you're not putting something bulky or oversized over the top just to stay warm.

It maintains fashionable looks by keeping this really nice high neckline there. The big collar's not only going to work well to look fashionable and make a statement but it's also going to keep your ears and your face really warm when the wind bites. Because this has got some nice pleats built into it and it's not overly puffy, it's going to maintain your figure and make you look slim and snug, not big and bulky.
