How To Wear Pinstripe Trousers

Pin stripe trousers are a city staple for men particularly if you have to wear suits or dress very formally for the office. If you've got heavier or chunkier legs then pinstripe trousers can be really good because this stripe helps to elongate and slim the legs down and it just makes sure that everything runs is a nice straight line. Be careful though if you've got chunky thighs that you don't go for pinstripe in heavy wool because this can add more bulk into your frame.

Go for something in lighter wool or in a polycotton material because that is going to look a little bit more fluid and not cling to your body, pin stripe trouser can be worn by any body shape but they look particularly good on bigger men. If you are going to wear pinstripe trousers and you are very slim and it's best not to team it with a pinstripe jacket as it can elongate the body too much, thus make you look a lot thinner. Pinstripe trousers are the best in something like a navy where they are nice and neutral.

For a very simple look just team them with a white shirt and a nice tie. If you are going for stripes, don't go with anything again that follows the same line with your trousers because it can all look too matchy. It's better if you go for a stripe that goes in the opposite direction and contrast it a little bit.

If you want to casual you pinstripe trousers up a little bit then get rid of the tie, still keep the shirt but team it with a nice V-neck jumper. Don't go for anything too bright or glary, but you can still go for color. Purples, teals, any kind of like bright blue will work really well with a pair of pinstripe trousers like these.

Also, you don't want to go for anything too bright because it can contrast a little bit too much with your white shirt. So a purple or smoothing tonal will work really well. Alternatively, you could also use a cardigan.

If you're going to wear the pinstripe trousers with a V-neck jumper then don't do the tie as it can all look just a little bit too much. Choose one or the other and that's how you wear pinstripe trousers.
