How To Wear Purple Eye Liner

Today, I'm going to show you how to use purple eyeliner. It's a massive trend at the moment, it was seen on a lot of the catwalk shows this season and I think it's a great way of adding a little bit of color and vibrance to your eyes without looking too over the top. So I've got two different types that we can try.

One, if you want to add a little bit of color but not be too daring, the eye shadow, again, a bit softer look and we've obviously got a purple gel eye liner, very vibrant which is nice. Just going to use a smaller eye shadow brush here because it's quite a deep color so to make sure that we get a bit of color without spreading it across the whole eye, I've chosen to use the smaller brush. So, we've just put some on the top of the eye and we're just going to run that along and join that up, again just get a really nice eye shape and it really just brings out the eye color.

And so we just softly run the color around. And I'm just going to bring that up slightly, just give it a little flick as well. That just lines all around the eye so you've got a nice shape all the way around the eye, rather than just a tiny bit of color on the top.

So now, we can turn this look from day to evening, I'm just going to use some of the gel eye liner. This is quite a dark deep purple. But obviously there are different shades, depending on your skin coloring.

Then in exactly the same way I'm just going to work my way along the lash line. Trying to get as close to the lashes as we can and just blending as we go, just work that along and again we're just going to go slightly out just because that's quite nice in the evening just extend slightly. And we'll just work our way a little bit right into the corners just to get that color, the shape, just to shape the eye.

We're just going to work that a little bit again right by the lash line, just smudge that in and create a little bit of a smoky look as well if you want to, just going to smudge that making it slightly bigger, slightly more extended for an evening.
